DESCRIPTION:All children are invited to participate in the service by taking up a Joyful Noise collection of loose change for our missionary\, Joe Toy.  This offering is taken up just prior to the Junior Sermon on the last Sunday of the month.  Kids of all ages are encouraged to participate and they enjoy this special time just for them.

SUMMARY:13th Annual Pig Roast & Car Show
DESCRIPTION:Held rain or shine on the church property at 2150 Old Route 22\, Lenhartsville\, the day-long event will include classic vehicles and hotrods\, motorcycles and tractors\, plus live music\, food\, a silent auction and free activities for kids and adults. \nMeals\, available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. while supplies last\, include pulled pork from local hogs raised on a nearby farm\, along with applesauce\, macaroni salad\, baked beans and roll. Homemade desserts are available by donation. About 1\,000 meals were served last year before selling out midday\, and the church hopes to match that number in 2022. \nGates for the cars\, bikes and tractors will open at 11 a.m. with the display and show planned from noon to 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 cars\, top three motorcycles and top three trucks. Participants may also win random buckets of car-pampering products. \nRoy’s Gym will perform classic oldies outside\, with Pastor Long expected to join them for his annual rendition of “Barbara Ann” by the Beach Boys. \nInside the church\, visitors will find a silent auction and activities for children including the third annual scavenger hunt challenge. Church members will also staff a prayer table indoors\, with guests welcome to sit and visit or fill out a paper slip with prayer requests. \nAll events are held rain or shine and proceeds benefit the ministries of Salem Church. \nSpectator admission is free of charge for the car show. The show vehicle registration fee (at a discounted rate until Sept. 8) includes one free meal ticket. Additional meals will be sold\, with advanced meal tickets available through the church office.
